Hello World!

Right now the UThortweeds team is bundled up for the cold and getting the previous season wrapped up in readiness for next year. Current work includes updating the hortweeds.tennessee.edu website.

This website features herbicide searches to help you match active ingredients with the herbicides you may have at home.  Enter in your herbicide product name and get the active ingredient of the herbicide, the active ingredient concentration, the company who produces it, and its mode of action. You can also search by mode of action, or by the first letter of the herbicides' active ingredient.

Also featured is the digital version of the new Invasive Weeds of the Appalachian Region pocket guide.  This guide is designed to help you identify invasive weeds and shows you possible control methods.  These methods range from purely mechanical to chemical.

We hope you follow our updates and let us know what you think!
